Friday Fill-it-in
Dear weather… thank you for the breezes and mare's tails.
The theme of my calendar is… Hawwy Pawter.
I drink… water at work, tea during the day, beer/wine at night.
If I had a superpower, it would be… flight. Generic but true.
My very favorite gemstone is… opals! My birthstone. I love their varieties and the fact they are kin to water.
This weekend I’ll be ... pot luck hopping and reorganizing my CDs

Friday’s Feast
Appetizer
About how much money did you spend on gas this week?
$30. This is seriously impacting the proximity of house and work when I move up to Boise. I hopefully will become one of those folks that can ride their bike to work. So sexy!
Soup
What is your favortite brand of toilet paper?
Anything soft. Not picky.
Salad
When was the last time you discovered something that you thought was pure genius?
My recent and current obsession: the NPR quiz show "Wait! Wait! Don't Tell Me!" All genius.
Main Course
What is the least amount of sleep you can get by on per night?
I'm the best at x: 9>x>6
Dessert
June is a popular month for weddings. Do you know anyone who is getting married this month?
Nope! The next craze will be in approximately 2 years according to my formulas.

Friday Fiver
1. Do you play cards?
Depends what games, but hell yes.
2. Do you have any rings on your hands?
I opted for a moonstone ring to symbolize my HS graduation as opposed to the gawdy ripoffs they tried to sell me. I'm wearing that.
3. Would you describe yourself as innocent?
1. Uncorrupted by evil, malice, or wrongdoing - No
2. Not guilty of a specific crime or offense; legally blameless - Yes
3. Candid; straightforward - Yes
4. Not dangerous or harmful; innocuous - The 5th
5. Not experienced or worldly; naive - More towards no
6. Not exposed to or familiar with something specified; ignorant - No
7. Unaware - No, unless it involves the opposite gender. :p
4. What do you think of chivalry?
It's part of our glorious and confusing mating ritual that is unfortunately being phased out. That would make the ritual confusing and not too different from being single. Give me the chivalry!
5. Have you seen The Thomas Crown Affair?
Two thumbs up! Swankerrific!

Friday Forum
1. The Senate recently voted against an amendment to ban same-sex marriages. Do you agree or disagree with the decision? Why or why not?
It's not up to the government or one religion to define the laws of love. It doesn't matter if I agree or disagree with same sex marriages when it pertains to relationships besides my own.
2. With the recent death of the Al-Qaida leader in Iraq, what do you think is the next step for the country?
Fighting over religion. Duh.
3. The governor of Texas is planning on installing night vision web cams along the border. Do you feel the government has gone overboard with keeping illegal immigrants out of the US? Why or why not?
Just like the same sex issue, this is another thing being blown way out of proportion. I'm not on the border and can't judge. Why are we always stomping down or outlawing? Why can't we enhance, help, and create? *cough*starvation*cough*Earth*cough*education*cough*
So many things we can make BETTER!
4. Many fast food restaurants have began offering healthier foods on their menus. Do you feel more compelled to eat there now than before?
When I go to get fast food, I want fast food. Not their wilted lettuce crap (with the exception of the tasty taco salad from Wendy's). Of course I get fast food maybe once every month.
5. A Maine businessman has produced a 2007 Serial Killer Calendar that depicts some of the world’s most notorious murderers (artwork done by a convicted Frenchman who served time for murder). Would you buy it? Why or why not?
I like Harry Potter more than murderers, but I would get that calender before one with Cathy cartoons. :p

Five on Friday
Tell me more, tell me more…
1. Did you get very far? What’s the farthest away from home you’ve gone on a summer vacation?
Paris! WOOO!
2. Like does he have a car? What car would you like to have for the summer?
A retro bicycle. Good gravy, I've become such an eco dork over the last year!
3. Was it love at first sight? Have you ever felt love at first sight?
I believe in lust in first sight.
4. Did she put up a fight? What was the last fight you had about?
It never really happened, but when I acted it out in my head he really was knocked down a peg or two. The next most convenient thing acutally did happen, I completely disacknowledged him. :) Unless I have to be in the same room, then I give boring and polite conversation. The ultimate insult!
5. But you don’t gotta brag. What accomplishment or talent are you most proud of?
accomplishment: getting over my fear of failure and making myself go for grad school
talent: being able to make over a hundred children laugh at the same time

Four for Friday
Q1 - Name It: If you were asked to put together a band, what would you name it and what kind of music would you play?
In middle school I used to draw the "Vegetarian Steaks." Now I don't know. Some name relating to the periodic table. It would have the piano, a standing bass, and some brass. Dean Martin rockin' out on acid. Something you could formally dance to and jam. Ooh! And an accordian!
Q2 - Food: When was the last time you ate cake, and what type of cake was it?
It was Kindra's birthday at work and we shared a tasty chocolate cake.
Q3 - eBay: Have you ever bought or sold something on eBay? If so, what did you buy (or sell)? If not, why not?
The first thing I bought on Ebay was an X-Men deck of cards. Snikt!
Q4 - Training: How useful do you think diversity or sexual harassment training is in the workplace?
Boring.

A sense of humor.
3. What has been the best trip of your life so far?
Each one has its special memories. Let me get a pillow to stitch that on...
4. Who was with you on that trip and what is the role of that person in your life?
Erin, family, Mer, Linz, Jess. Role = awesome
5. What’s the worst thing that can happen during a vacation?
Being stranded in a scary place. Or being accosted by a stranger. Both suck and sucked.

Top 5 songs from a movie or Broadway show
Just finished watching On the Town with Sinatra and Kelly an hour ago! But it didn't make the list...

-Circle of Life from Lion King on stage
-Phantom of the Opera from Phantom of the Opera
-Triplets of Belleville theme song
-Your Song from Moulin Rouge
Those are off the top of my head.
