Thursday Thirteen about Mel

Thirteen things you MAY NOT KNOW about me. Holy crap!

1. I am FINALLY recovering from bronchitis, an ear infection, and strep throat, but the worst part was the depression associated with it.

2. I can't stand the DaVinci Code, and I unfairly judge those who do.

3. I've never "fallen in love" as they say.

4. I'm currently wearing a Gryffindor scarf around my neck. :D

5. When REALLY bad things happen, I tend to mark myself somehow to deal with it, like getting a piercing.

6. One of my favorite movies is Tomb Raider II.

7. I love clocks.

8. I have had mobiles in my place of residence ever since 1995.

9. I thrive on making people laugh, which is one of the reasons I work with kids.

10. My current obsessions are geocaching and horchata.

11. I've panned and found a actual (itty bitty teeny weeny) gold flake in the South Fork of the American River, not far from where the pieces that ignited the Gold Rush were found by James Marshall. Not pyrite!

12. The one thing that makes me tear up instantly, no matter where, is thinking of how Gracie died.

13. I'm eager to restart my comic strips, but need that original idea. I'm stuck! It's driving me nuts! I'm tempted to merge Moai into a humorous subject, but it just seems wrong...yarg! Something original!
