Katrina shouldn't be a shocker

Interviews heard on NPR:
"We need someone to lead us!"
"No one is taking charge!"
"Where's Bush?!"
It's funny how Bush says "we" when referring to the government in good times, but says "they" when things go bad. Way to disassociate from responsibility. Rolling up your sleeves and saying something like, "New Orleans will be built better!" with a ridiculous smile on your face means SHIT to those in the dome. Save the people first. Get your priorities straight!
We need a real fucking president.
I hope people realize how helpless and spread thin our countries securities are. We can't even protect our homeland. We need to fix our own country before we can fix others. Now is the perfect opportunity to pull out the Guard without losing face, SINCE WE NEED THEM. It's mind boggling how oil has more priority than our own citizens.
And NO, I'm not angry at Republicans. I'm not politicizing Katrina. I AM ASKING FOR A DAMN PRESIDENT. Libertarian, Republican, Democrat, Green, Independent, whatever. Someone who wants to protect us and support us.
