at work alone
2004-07-03 - 8:49 p.m.

I'm listening to some weird KLUV station that's 88 something FM. It's the only station without commercials.

This morning I went to a farmer's market and picked up tomatoes, plums, cherries, and peaches. Then I chatted with Ang about Matthew (my way cool cousin) who's moving in with his gf. She seems nice, but she's sapped Matthew of all of his eccentricities and fun hobbies. It's too Ananta and Kate. The girl is too smart to get rid of such a wonderful nice guy that would do ANYTHING for the gf. The guy becomes whipped and drops everything else out of his life for her. My sister says that people in these times shouldn't have a marriage heavy relationshipbefore 25 because people don't have their identity enough to retain it yet. Around 25 you KNOW who you are and can be yourself while being with someone else. From what I've seen in serious relationships of people my age, I totally agree.

I got the greatest pair of pants yesterday. I had NO pants that weren't ripped or ancient, and I've been having a miserable time finding pants. They are worse than coffee now! Low riding, vintage, slim, stretch, medium length pants? PLEASE! Give me a pair of pants I can WORK in. After many many failed attempts I sat and thought, "What women wear working pants? Cowgirls!" So I went to a western wear joint, and ALL of the pants were dreamy! You could move your legs, bend over without showing your ass, and the color was fresh (not nastily bleached). AND I could find WOMEN's carpenter pants, which are my fave.

Huzzah!

Then I watched Red Dwarf III with Erin and wrapped up the night by reading Spider-Man comics.

Okay, this station is a little TOO sappy for me...
